Before you begin, meet your neighborhood (uuuh, the game)’s ultimate decision makers!
Your HOA Board
Beth
The word ‘tacky’ has no place in her vocabulary. She decorates for every minor holiday. When she runs out of her own yard space, her decor overflows into her neighbors’.
Walter
Walter is retired and a woodworking enthusiast. Walter’s neighbors often find that their favorite trees are mysteriously missing limbs. In some extreme cases, neighbors have reported entire trees vanishing in the middle of the night.
Kelly
Kelly does not want to live in a forest on account of the fact that she hates all forms of rodents and critters.
Stanley
Not sure how Stanley is on the HOA board, considering he lives in a trailer that sits on a scorched plot of earth- all that is left is a pile of rocks. It also looks like Stanley is into the same flavor of politics that you are.
Barb
Barb pretends to be a birder so she can peep out her window with binoculars. And while she loves flowers, she can’t seem to keep them alive. Also, she really likes “art.”
George
George doesn’t have time for you. Or anyone else for that matter. He’s a very important man. He told you so himself.
Peter
Peter likes 2 things: sports and high-tech gadgets. He’s part of a fantasy league that has a tendency to take things a little too far.
Karen
Karen hates your yard. She hates everything about your yard. You will never get her approval.
Regina
Regina is a bit hoity-toity. She claims to enjoy the finer things in life and runs the local book club. She’s not a fan of your tacky yard.
Richard
Richard is super crunchy! In fact, you can’t recall ever seeing Richard in a pair of shoes. He’s all about living naturally and hates for anything to go to waste.
…now that we all know each other, let’s move onto the game!
Grab your neighbors, grab some snacks, and let the sabotaging begin!
There’s no way you’ll look at your lawn the same after this.
And don’t forget the tunes!
You can’t have a game night without music. We gotchoo. Turn this on and enjoy playing petty schemes on your favorite neighbors.
This game is for you if…
You’ve ever lived in the suburbs.
You think your neighbor’s inflatables are tacky.
You pay attention to your neighborhood FB page for the sheer entertainment of it.
You have mixed feelings about living in a community with an HOA.
You want to secretly set your neighbor’s lawn on fire.
